DAY 13 AT THE OLYMPICS: THANK YOU ARSHAD NADEEM!

 


Here we are once again with Day 13 at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, and we have some great news! Arshad Nadeem has broken Pakistan’s medal drought at the Olympics and it is gold! China also briefly took the lead in the medal table but USA are back on top again and here, is everything you need to know!

Arshad Nadeem, you better remember this name. Last night the javelin competition commenced and he had a cross in the first attempt. But in the second round, he threw a humungous 92.97m breaking the Olympic record to go top. One by one, they all tried their hardest but nobody could get close to even Arshad’s second-best throw! After all, he was crowned as the new Olympic Champion and The new Olympic record holder which will stay untouched for another 4 years. Pakistan themselves have earned a medal in Olympics after 32 years, and Gold after 40 years, THANK YOU ARSHAD NADEEM!

ATHLETICS ON SHOW

Back to the drawing board, there a lot of action in Athletics last night and oh did we have some races! USA over team GBR over Zambia was the order in the Men’s 400m Final. Morocco got Gold over the US and Kenya in the Men’s 3000m steeplechase. In terms of the women, Australia beat USA and Canada to gold in the pole vault. USA also earned gold in the Women’s 400m hurdles final.

OTHER CRUCIAL MEDAL EVENTS

Chinese boys led home a Mexican via a 1-2 earning both Gold and Silver in the Men’s 3m diving springboard final. Great Britain over Netherlands and France was the pecking order in women’s sailing. Netherlands also struck gold in the Women’s marathon swimming. Wall climbing gold for men went to the US. They also earned Gold medals in Women’s cycling and wrestling.

So there you have it then, Pakistan is officially done at the Olympic games and that is all we have from DAY 13. Once again, CONGRATULATIONS TO ARSHAD NADEEM!
